No quotation marks, but references
Q: I'm sorry I didn't put quotation marks around that passage. But I did put the author and date in parentheses afterwards and put the source in the reference list.
A: Suppose that, instead of using one short passage, you had pieced together passages from several sources, never putting quotation marks around them but citing the sources. Would such a pastiche be acceptable work?
What would you learn from a course if I let you turn in such a product?
