                                 Primary responsibilities include: Program coordination; development of a student-focused learning environment that supports the recruitment and enrollment of students and fosters the attainment of their mental health counseling educational and professional goals. Academic advising of graduate students. Collaboration with counseling program to implement and maintain CACREP standards. Coordination of mental health programs; communication and relationship with Advisory Board. Development of partnerships with community/mental health agencies and collaboration with mental health professional organizations. Maintain current information regarding the 491 board regulations and examinations.

                                 Primary responsibilities include: Full supervision, training and advice to Internship students from counseling programs; assist students in case management; help students develop professional, legal and ethical competencies, and achieve personal growth as psychotherapists.                                  Primary responsibilities include: Complete responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Center; administration of the budget and financial operations of the Counseling Center, which includes the Counseling Services and the Services for Students with Disabilities; establish and enforce the working schedule for the staff.; serve as liaison between Counseling Center, Division of Student Services, Division of Academic Affairs, and other departments such as Residence Life, etc.; provide leadership in program development for the Counseling Center; serve on university committees as appointed; work in close cooperation with the University Health Center; serve as consultant to student, faculty, staff, educational groups outside the university; and referral service for individuals with serious psychological needs; represent SHSU in local, state, national professional organizations, and local community with special projects; organize in-service training for Counseling Center staff and supervise administration of psychological tests; promote student awareness of services offered through the Counseling Center; lead university-wide outreach and educational mental health programs; consult on a regular basis with practicing interns and Crisis Team counselors; coordinate with the Department of Psychology to provide an ongoing practicum site for their students; administer a testing site for police licensing for the State of Texas and the Miller Analogies Test for graduate program admission for the public-at-large, and other testing services; request academic assistance for students with disabilities and administration of the ADA office on campus. Other responsibilities: Work with other directors in Student Life, Admissions, University Affairs, deans, department directors, faculty in academic areas, and perform other related duties as assigned.

                                 Primary responsibilities include: Coordination, database-administration, analyses, and publications of Student Services Division’s student assessment programs. The goals of these programs are to determine students’ needs, characteristics, and perception of the university. These programs include the Student Services Assessment Survey, Student Services Follow-Up Assessment, and Student Services Focus Groups.

                                 Primary responsibilities include: Coordination and administration of the programs, services, and research provided to students and students with disabilities using computer-assisted therapy. These programs include stress management, test anxiety, speakers anxiety, and anger control, as well as training in self-regulation techniques, (e.g., biofeedback-assisted relaxation for students suffering from tension, stress, or chronic pain), and research in brainwave training (e.g., Beta wave training for A.D.D. students).
