SUCCESSFUL
CULTURALLY DIVERSE STUDENTS
Thank you for your
interest in this study. This online survey was created specifically for learning more about the
characteristics of successful students from different backgrounds . The
objectives of this study, entitled Successful Culturally Diverse Students,
are (a) to determine the characteristics of culturally diverse students who are
currently attending U.S. universities; and (b) to determine the sources that
helped them pursue higher education programs. This information may be useful in
developing programs aimed to increase the number of students pursuing degrees in
higher education.
Participants who submit a completed survey will be eligible to enter a sweepstakes draw
that's worth $20.00 a piece.
Please
help us learn about the characteristics of successful students and their sources
of inspiration and support by selecting and responding to the appropriate survey
below.
Your participation is
anonymous; please do NOT write your name in the survey. All information
will be kept in the strictest confidence and will be reported only in
aggregate form. The survey will take approximately 25-30 minutes to
complete.
Your decision to
participate in this study is completely voluntary. You can withdraw from
the study without penalty at any time, and your decision to participate or
not to participate will in no way affect your student status. By
completing and submitting the survey you will be consenting to our

While we are not able to compensate
you for your time spent on this online survey, we would like to offer
something to show our gratitude for your participation. As such, a check
in the amount of twenty dollars ($20), to be used for any educational or
professional needs, will be awarded to five randomly selected participants
who return completed surveys. In order for us to award these checks, at
the end of the survey you will be directed to a different form for you to
provide contact information. We want to assure you that the data
will be reported only in aggregate form and that all responses will be
managed in the strictest confidence. When a survey is returned, it is
separated from the contact information form, ensuring the respondent’s
confidentiality.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this request. We look
forward to receiving your completed survey.
Sincerely yours,
