Submission Guidelines

Thank for agreeing to contribute your personal story. 

Please follow the guidelines presented below:

 

 

a) complete the demographic sheet (click here to open that document), and

b) organize your story around the following questions and type your information in the windows:

1. Why did you choose to do well in high school?.
2. Who and/or what influenced or motivated you to attend school?
3. Who and/or what helped you study?

4. What challenges/concerns did you overcome in order to attend high school?

5. Describe your school experience
6. How would you describe the school climate or what's known as the school environment at your school?
7. What's it like to be a Latina/o at your school?
8. What do you do to cope with the school environment?

9. What resources did you use to assist you in continuing your high school degree?

10. What have you done to attain mentorship?
11. What school social supports do you have in place to help you succeed academically?
12. What off-campus social supports do you have in place to help you succeed academically?

13. What values do you think your school most rewards?

14. How do you manage the fit between your cultural values and those of the school?
15. What personal strengths/skills are important in achieving your goals?
16. In what way(s) do you think your high school degree with help you in the future?
17. What are your plans for the future?

18. What advise would you give to students who will start high school next year?
