How To Succeed In The 21st Century

The year 2000 has long been a metaphor used to symbolize both the end of a period in human history and the beginning of a new one. As its arrival draws nearer, this new millennia inspires visions of a better world for some as well as fears of the unknown for others. For decades people around the world have anticipated the coming of the 21st century and, it seems, everyone has some idea or expectation as to what this new century may hold. There has been some debate recently among the general public as to whether or not any major life changes will occur, however; for many of the great minds of our time, there is no doubt that great changes will occur. They agree the new millennia will be a period of opportunity and growth, a time for great innovations and advances. Their focus of debate has shifted to the questions: What types of changes will occur during this new century and what skills are needed to not only survive but succeed in it as well.

The "Succeeding in the 21st Century" research project attempts to answer the question regarding the skills and abilities necessary to succeed in the next century. A description of the methodology used in this project, samples of the contributor's responses, and a summary of the skills and abilities needed to succeed in the new millennia are described under the different subheadings included in this World Wide Web page.
