Welcome NWP Representatives, Pat Fox and Susan Biggs!
TBAWP was honored with a visit from Pat Fox and Susan Biggs in October.
As a site it was a refreshing time of examining the incredible on-going
work or our site. Mapping our past, calendaring our present and
envisioning our future reminded us of the importance of our presence to
our Tampa Bay Area Teachers and their students.Our central discussion focused on the continuity of TBAWP. As Betty Herzhauser TBAWP's Continuity Coordinator remarked, "Continuity underscores everything..it is the river on which we travel." Jennifer Albritton (Young Writers Director) explained that all good work is "inquiry driven rather than task driven." And, Holly Atkins (Co-Director) reminded, "We are about growing people as professional. That work is uplifting and renewing."
Pat Fox reminded us that as a NWP site we are lifelong learners who wants to transform the world. As a site the work we do creates a professional and intellectual home for our teachers.
