QUALIFYING EXAMS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The qualifying examination for the Ph.D. program in SLA/IT consists of a take-home written examination that lasts 3 weeks, followed by face to face feedback session of the written part. Prior to the examination, each individual student meets with the doctoral committee chairperson and identifies his/her areas of expertise and interest within the following three concentrations: (1) second language acquisition, (2) instructional technology, and (3) teacher education.
