FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Fellowships and Scholarships
Below are scholarships and fellowships offered through the University of South Florida or through other institutions. Click on any link for more information.

  • Presidential Fellowship: Presidential Doctoral Fellowship (pdf)
  • University Graduate Fellowship: Strong candidates will be nominated for UGF, which includes a $10,000 stipend plus partial tuition waiver.
  • Dean's Excellence Award: Recipients will receive a $5,000 scholarship each year, renewable up to four years.
  • Graduate Studies Fellowships & Scholarships: Including the Ann Winch Fellowship, Dolores Auzenne Fellowship, Latino Graduate Fellowship, etc. Other fellowship opportunities through the USF Graduate School.
  • Ford Foundation: Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program
  • Spencer Foundation: The Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship

Assistantships
Graduate assistantships may be sought through the Department of World Languages and the English Language Institute (both housed in the College of Arts and Sciences) and through the Department of Secondary Education in the College of Education.

Normally assistantships offer a stipend plus partial tuition waiver and entail working up to twenty hours per week. Availability of graduate and teaching assistantships is contingent upon and subject to program and/or department needs as well as the availability of funds. If you would like to be considered for an assistantship opportunity, complete the Teaching Assistantship Application and submit it with your application package.
