Test Requirements for Graduation

Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE)

The following tests are offered through the FTCE, and are required for graduation and Florida State Certification:

• General Knowledge (GK)

• Professional Test (PEd)

• Subject Area Test (SAE)

Elementary Education majors:  If you graduate after May 2004 you MUST take the Kindergarten - Grade 6 SAE to meet your program/graduation requirements. Taking the grades 1-6 examination would NOT be an option.

Secondary Education majors: You MUST complete grades 6-12 SAE. Middle School 6-9 is NOT acceptable
