GENERAL KNOWLEDGE TEST (Certification Requirement)
NOTE: CLAST, Praxis I or General Knowledge Test will be required for admission to the College of Education. All sections of any ONE test must be passed prior to applying to the College of Education.
General Knowledge Test (GKT)
The General Knowledge Test is a basic skills
achievement test containing four subtests: Mathematics (45 multiple-choice items),
Reading (40 multiple-choice, passage-based items), and English Language Skills
(40 multiple-choice items), and Essay.
You can obtain the application at the following locations:
Evaluation and Testing (SVC 2054)
College of Education (COE), Office of Student Academic Services (EDU 106) or in COE advising offices on regional campuses (FTCE Registration Bulletin)
