You must take and pass all sections of the General Knowledge (GK) prior to your final internship. If you do not pass all sections of the GK prior to your final internship, you will not begin your final internship for the semester you applied. Note: The General Knowledge test cannot be taken on the same day as a subject area test but can be taken on the same day as the Professional Education test. |
In order to receive a satisfactory grade in Internship and to graduate, you must take and pass both of the following portions of the FTCE prior to the completion of your Final Internship: * Professional Education Test (PEd) and * Subject Area Examination (SAE) Note: Undergraduate Secondary Education majors must pass the 6-12 Subject Area Examination (SAE) It is recommended that you take the FTCE the semester before your final internship. NOTE: Candidates may take one subject area exam (except for test 060 Kindergarten - Grade 6) and the Professional Education test on one testing date. The General Knowledge test cannot be taken on the same day as a subject area test but can be taken on the same day as the Professional Education test.
