The Pathfinder: A Guide for Undergraduate Students in the College of Education is dedicated to making your life easier as you find your way through your program in the College of Education (COE). It will provide information, explain procedures, alert you to important deadlines, and answer your questions.

The Pathfinder should serve as your companion to other important sources of information you will need as you go through your program at USF. It will not tell you everything you need to know. It will not be a repeat of other important documents, like the USF Undergraduate Catalog. Instead, it will provide you with information common to all or most undergraduate programs in the College -- most of this information is not printed elsewhere. It will also guide you in your search for the other information you need by getting you to the right people and paper. The Pathfinder will introduce you to the College of Education and becoming a teacher in Florida and then lead you through the requirements for getting started, going through, and getting out. Finally, it will give you some advice on entering the profession.

Information contained in this document is the most current available.
