  Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC): A non-profit event promoting the integration and application of appropriate technology in K-12 and college educational settings. Designed for teachers, principals and deans, district administrators, curricululm designers, media specialists, technology directors, and various other educators to show the latest hardware, software, and successful strategies on student technology.
  Florida Distance Learning Association (FLDLA):  Provides knowledge, experiences, and information concerning strategies and technologies for the advancement of distance learning.
  International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE): A non-profit organization that provides leadership and service to improve teaching, learning, and school leadership by advancing the effective use of technology in PK-12 and teacher education. As the home of the National Educational Technolog Standards (NETS), the Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology (CARET), and the National Educational Computing Conference NECC), ISTE represents more than 85,000 professionals worldwide.
  EduCause: A non-profit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.
    United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA): A non-profit association dedicated to advocacy, information, networking, and opportunity in distance learning.
  Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE):  A non-profit, educational organization with the mission of advancing information technology in education and e-learning research, development, learning, and its practical application. It provides digitally archived articles from AACE publications, including Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education, Information Technology in Childhood Education Annual, International journal of Educational Telecommunications, International Journal on E-Learning, Journal of Computers in Mathematics and Science Teaching, Journal of Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia, Journal of Interactive Learning Research, Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, WebNet Journal: Internet Technologies, Applications & Issues.
  Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT): For those actively involved in the designing of instruction and a systematic approach to learning, it provides an international forum for the exchange and disseminatiion of ideas for its members and larger audiences. Its goal is the improvement of instruction.
  International Associationfor K-12 Online Learning (INACOL): Links to reports, associations dedicated to K-12 distance learning programs, national standards, promising practices for online teaching and learning, research, presentations, and a clearinghouse of information supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Wested.
Instructional Technology & Distance Learning Journals/Publications
  EDUCAUSE Quarterly - An online, peer-reviewed, practitioner's journal for college and university managers and users of information resources. Materials related to planning for, developing, managing, evaluating, and using information resources on college and university campuses are welcomed. Submissions are evaluated for suitability by the EQ editor and editorial committee.
  Faculty Focus Free - An electronic newsletter for higher education with regularly e-mailed issues relating to a variety of topics, including distance learning, online learning, and asynchronous learning.
  Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration - A peer-reviewed electronic journal offered free each quarter over the World Wide Web. It welcomes manuscripts based on original work of practitioners and researchers with specific focus or implications for the management of distance education programs.
  Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education (CITE) - An online, peer-reviewed journal, established and jointly sponsored by five professional associations (AMTE, ASTE, NCSS-CUFA, CEE, and SITE).
  Educational Technology & Society - An online journal seeking academic articles on the issues affecting the developers of educational technology systems and educators who implement and manage such systems.
  Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks (JALN) - A major resource for knowledge about online learning.
