E-Mail/Network


To Request a Network/E-Mail Account

  • Come by ITS (EDU 218) and fill out a Network/E-Mail Account Request form (or download the Form here).
  • Only one account per person is allowed.
  • It is possible to have an account set up for special projects or for individual department accounts.

Network File Storage

Faculty and staff are encouraged to save to the network drives. Files saved on the network servers can be accessed from other network computers and off campus.  

To view the Network Drives available:

Click on START

Click on My Computer

H:\drive is your HOME file space on the network server. These files are only accessible by the user and are not shareable with others.

I:\drive is the DEPARTMENT SHARED space. These folders are used to share documents with others in your department.

J:\drive is the COLLEGE SHARED space. These files are used to share documents with others in the College of Education.


E-Mail Account

Microsoft Outlook is the email client used on Windows-based, COEDU owned computers. MS Outlook is set up for each user with an Exchange email account as part of the initial new account process. Entourage is the client for Mac computers.  Please visit COEDU E-Mail Guidelines.

To Access Web Mail

  1. Open USF Information Technology website (http://it.usf.edu)
  2. Click Email, Faculty & Staff, Sign Into WebOutlook!
  3. You will receive prompt – MS Office Outlook Web Access, enter:

    Domain \ user name: coedu\your username [note: \ back slash]

    Password: your password

    Click [Log on]

  4. You have successfully logged on to webmail

    OR

  5. Connect to the internet via your normal method (dialup, roadrunner, etc.)
  6. Open the web browser of your choice such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.
  7. Go to the following URL web address – https://email.usf.edu/owa
  8. You will receive prompt – MS Office Outlook Web Access, enter:

    Domain \ User name: coedu\your username [note: \ back slash]

    Password: your password

          Click [Log on]

  1. You have successfully logged on to webmail
