STAGES Spotlight

My name is Alexis Norman. I’m 21 years old. I am exiting STAGES at the end of May. My experience in STAGES has been absolutely wonderful. I’ve learned so much from STAGES. I’ve learned how to ride the city bus to different places and how to be independent. I’ve also visited college classes while I have attended STAGES.
I’ve done job training at Pizzo Elementary, The Card Center, The EDU Building, Children’s Discovery Daycare Center, and WUSF Radio Station. I’ve also had a paid job at Chick-Fil-A.
My advice to the students in the future, I hope you enjoy being at STAGES. I hope you learn to be independent that way you won’t have to depend on your parents to take you everywhere and then you can take the city bus places too. I hope you learn a lot of things while you’re in STAGES like I did because this program did teach me a lot of different things.
