STAGES Spotlight on Laesha

Hello, my name is Laesha. I started STAGES August 2006. I will be
leaving STAGES May 22, 2008.
My first college class experience was good. I visited "University
Experience" with Wayne Shawn. We learned about relationships,
drug abuse, homework, and how to budget money.
I have been working at Argos for over a year; and, I'm trained at the
salad bar. I am now working at the American Café. I like serving the
college students. My supervisor Joe is someone you can count on.
At STAGES, I have learned new things, and seen different college
courses. It is a fun learning experience, and I like seeing the football
players. I am an outgoing person and funny.
What I liked about Best Buddies is that we went to different places.
Megan, my Best Buddy took me to International Plaza and Apple Bees.
Last, I hope to get married and have a family someday.
My dream job is to be a massage therapist.
I hope the new students get along with each other like we did.
STAGES is not like high school because you don’t go to different
classes; instead, you go to the computer lab, find jobs and learn
new things.
God Bless Everyone!

From the parents: “I think the STAGES program has matured Laesha
also, she has come a long way since graduating from high school. My
advice to the new parents and students, please take advantage of the
program because Ms. Gigi and Ms. Dora are very much concerned about
the kids also their needs. Thanks for a wonderful 2 years”.
