Undergraduate Information

Thank you for your interest in the College of Education (COE) at the University of South Florida. The College of Education is an upper-level, limited-access college. This means there are prerequisites students must complete before gaining admission into the College of Education. The admissions process to the College is separate and in addition to admission to the university.

If you have chosen your main campus as a regional campus, check with the advising office on that campus for the appropriate advisor.

ORIENTATION INFORMATION

  • The College of Education conducts a mandatory Orientation each semester.
  • All new students to the College must attend this Orientation.
  • Orientation will be conducted the semester before plans to enter the College of Education.
  • Upon acceptance to the College of Education, the student will receive registration information for this event.

NOTE: CLAST, Praxis I or General Knowledge Test will be required for admission to the College of Education. All sections of any ONE test must be passed prior to applying to the College of Education.

School districts have the right to know about any arrests, pleas of nolo contendere, adjudications withheld, or convictions that their teachers may have sustained.  You will also have to supply this information to the state when you apply for a certificate.  School districts have the right to obtain information regarding sealed, expunged, and/or juvenile records.
