Undergraduate Information
Thank you for your
interest in the College of Education (COE) at the University
of South Florida. The College of Education is an upper-level,
limited-access college. This means there are prerequisites students
must complete before gaining admission into the College of Education.
The admissions process to the College is separate and in addition
to admission to the university.
If you have chosen
your main campus as a regional campus, check with the advising
office on that campus for the appropriate advisor.
ORIENTATION INFORMATION
- The College of Education conducts a mandatory Orientation
each semester.
- All new students to the College must attend this Orientation.
- Orientation will be conducted the semester before plans
to enter the College of Education.
- Upon acceptance to the College of Education, the student
will receive registration information for this event.
NOTE: CLAST, Praxis I or General Knowledge Test will be required for admission to the College of Education. All sections of any ONE test must be passed prior to applying to the College of Education.
DISCLOSURE OF CONVICTION
When you apply for a teaching certificate, you will be asked to disclose information about any existing criminal records. School districts have the right to know about any arrests, pleas of nolo contendere, adjudications withheld, or convictions that their teachers may have sustained. You will also have to supply this information to the state when you apply for a certificate. School districts have the right to obtain information regarding sealed, expunged, and/or juvenile records.

Each semester the College of Education conducts Information Sharing Sessions. These Sessions are designed to provide general information to prospective Education students. The following Website contains the dates for the Information Sharing Sessions.
