Florida Teacher Certification
There are several ways to meet the State's Professional Preparation/Practical Teaching Experience and Professional Education (PEC) requirements. The information contained here represents an alternative process of partially meeting the Professional Preparation requirements by taking courses through USF. The State's requirement changed July 27, 2006. This document represents the requirements in effect ONLY for those who fall under the new rules. Refer to your Statement of Status of Eligibility from Tallahassee or your district (if you are teaching.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The requirements in this document are in effect primarily for those who applied for certification AFTER July 27, 2006, or who for some other reason might be under the new rules.
