Accreditation by state, national and professional organizations is a part of on-going quality assurance efforts in the College of Education and the university. It is a public statement of an institution's continuing capacity to provide effective programs and services.

University
The University of South Florida is accredited by SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools).

College
The College of Education is accredited by NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education).

Accredited Programs

• The School Psychology Program in the Department of Psychological and Social Foundations is accredited by the American Psychological Association Committee on Accreditation, and is recognized by the National Association of School Psychologists.

• The Counselor Education Program in the Department of Psychological and Social Foundations is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Approved Programs
Educator Preparation Programs in the College of Education are approved by the Florida State Department of Education (FLDOE).

The COE regularly assesses the performance of its students and graduates.
