Initial Teacher Preparation Assessments:
In compliance with the standards advanced by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the College of Education collects evidence of the Professional Committments and scholarly dispositions of our teacher candidates, scholars, and other professionals. The assessment system employs a series of self-assessments, peer-assessments, and faculty and supervisor assessments aligned with the goals of the Conceptual Framework. The current survey instruments were developed in 2004 and pilot tested in 2005. The Developmental Report delineates the development process, provides evidence of the reliability and validity of self-assessment scores, and results of the pilot test.
