Minority Adolescents' Sense of Purpose after Dropping Out of School
Dr. Patty Alvarez-McHatton, Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education, is spearheading an important project in collaboration with two doctoral students, Jenna Pollard-Sage and Stephanie Martinez.
Students who have dropped out of school and are now pursuing their GED's are involved in this project with Dr. Alvarez-McHatton. They are recording a podcast series to talk to pre-service teachers about their classroom experiences and how teachers can help all students succeed.
