The University of South Florida is a national research university with over 44,000 students and has one of the largest urban Colleges of Education in the country.  Approximately 4,500 students are enrolled in the College in bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., Ed. D., and Ed.S. degree programs.  The College is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and is rated in the top 25% of graduate schools of education in US News and World Report.  The College contributes significantly to the over $310 million in external funding generated during 2005-06 by the University of South Florida, and to the University's national and international agenda through research, teaching, and engagement with the schools/community.  It is housed in a new $22 million state-of-the-art wireless education facility.
