On-Line Annual Report

Faculty must log in via the USF NetID Single-SignOn

Faculty members should complete and submit their on-line annual report on the FAIR system, as well as the following:

  • Completing all sections pertinent to their assignments
  • The on-line University Annual Faculty Review Summary Form
  • Documentation file (as required by departmental guidelines)

In order to report activities on your Annual Report, a percentage of your faculty assignment must be allocated to the type of activity on your FAR for at least one of the semesters. Each faculty member has 12 “workload units” to be distributed across your assigned activities.  For each category that you wish to report, make certain that some portion of workload units are assigned to the category (e.g., teaching, advising, dissertation/thesis advising, service-professional/disciplinary, service-USF, research, administrative). Faculty assignments are the responsibility of department chairs, in consultation with individual faculty.  Generally, chairs make assignments to general categories of teaching, research, service, and faculty will need to work with their chairs to ensure that some portion of their assignment (workload units, even as little as 0.1) is allocated for each activity to be reported on the annual review.

Note that while the FAR forms provide an opportunity to make comments in each category, you are not required to make comments in relation to each semester’s FAR.  Your activities can be reported once as part of your Annual Report, so long as some portion of your assignment is allocated to the activity type.

It is very important that faculty members annually update their vita on FAIR, listing publications and presentations.
