Dr. Sherman Dorn has been named the next Editor of the journal Education Policy Analysis Archives (EPAA) for the period 2005-2009 beginning in January 2005.  Dr. Dorn is Associate Professor in the area of Social Foundations in the Department of Psychological and Social Foundations and was selected for the Editor position based upon a competitive proposal process and upon his outstanding reputation as a scholar of educational policy.  He won an award in 2003 for the "Outstanding" contribution to the journal.  This appointment is a distinct honor for Dr. Dorn and our College of Education. 

The EPAA journal is an electronic scholarly publication that started 12 years ago as an innovative experiment and has grown to become one of the two most visible and respected sources of scholarship in education policy.  The EPAA now publishes articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese.  The EPAA website is visited by over 2500 persons on an average weekday. 

Upon Dr. Dorn's assumption of the Editor position, the journal will be a joint publication of the Colleges of Education at the University of South Florida and Arizona State University.  Dr. Dorn will begin receiving submitted manuscripts on December 1, 2004.  Details regarding submissions can be found at the journal's website:  http://epaa.asu.edu/
