The Gifted Master's Degree Program accepts and reviews applications year round.

Students accepted into the program may begin the MA. in either the spring or fall semester.

 

 

MA Application Requirements:

  • An earned bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university
  • An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or GRE (V 550 or AW 3.5; Q 520)
  • Evidence of successful teaching experiences (at least two years) in a K - 12 school setting
  • Two letters of recommendation from administrators familiar with your professional teaching experience and expertise
  • A statement of professional goals
  • Copy of your professional teaching certificate (not a temporary certificate)
  • Evidence that you currently hold a teaching position in a K-12 school setting.
 

 

Students accepted into the MA program may transfer up to 6 credit hours of graduate credit from outside the University of South Florida so long as they were completed within 7 years of your anticipated graduation from USF. Such transferal must meet with the approval of the Program Director and the College of Education.
