Department of Special Education

• Recruit and retain IAs and SRPs interested in pursuing a career in special education and  dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students with disabilities.

• Provide project participants with ESE content in an accessible and expedited format which prepares teacher candidates for successful careers in special education.

• Create an induction and mentoring program which nurtures growth, development, and retention of PROPEL participants during their years as beginning teachers.

• Enhance the experience of Project participants by providing ample opportunities to engage in professional development activities.
