Democracy vs. Dictatorships in Latin America

Abstract: The students will learn the differences between democracy and dictatorial regimes. Students will gain awareness about the countries of Latin America that have been ruled by dictators. They will also draw comparisons to democratic societies where human beings have equal rights and opportunities. Finally, students will be able to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of both systems.
