Certification
The completion of
a Bachelor's degree in FLE at USF will result in your meeting
the minimum certification requirements of the State of Florida
for teaching foreign languages in K-12 public schools.
This certification is valid in more than 30 U.S. states, thanks
to a reciprocity
agreement with the Department of Education of other states.
ESOL Endorsement
Completing the Bachelor's
degree in FLE will also result in your obtaining the ESOL endorsement
required by the Florida Department of Education. Some
courses, such as the ESOL endorsement courses, are offered both
online and on campus. Most of the BA in FL education courses
are, however, offered on the Tampa campus.
Advising
Advising for undergraduate
students is provided by the College of Education's Student Academic
Services (SAS) Office or advisors on the regional campuses.
