Exercise & Performance Nutrition Laboratory

“Innovation in Sports Nutrition Research and Dissemination”

The Exercise and Performance Nutrition Research Laboratory (EXPN) is located within the School of Physical Education and Exercise Science at the University of South Florida. The EXPN and its staff are dedicated to investigating the safety and effectiveness of various nutritional and exercise interventions and their effects on health, human performance, and body composition. In addition, an emphasis is placed on the dissemination of research findings to the scientific and lay communities through research presentations, publications, media interviews, and seminars. The EXPN possesses the capability to assess all aspects of human performance including the ability to assay specific biochemical markers (i.e. anabolic/catabolic status; inflammation; health markers, etc.) in systemic circulation.
