Dr.
Nell Faucette is a Professor and Coordinator of the K-12 Physical
Education Program in the School of Physical Education and Exercise Science at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Faucette began
her tenure in higher education in 1984 when she graduated with
her Doctoral degree from the University of Georgia. Since that
time, Dr. Faucette has served in numerous professional leadership
capacities including Co-Editor of the Journal of Teaching in
Physical Education for 4 years (the leading research journal
in sport pedagogy and teacher education in North America), Editorial
Board member for JTPE for 9 years, reviewer for several other
research publications in her field, Program Chair for the AERA
Special Interest Group in Physical Education, and Research Consortium
Fellow for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education,
Recreation, and Dance.
She has published 27 research papers,
36 abstracts, and several book chapters related to her areas
of expertise in preservice and inservice teacher professional
development. In addition, she has made over 75 presentations,
many of which were at the national or international level.
