Dr. Han received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida, where she was a recipient of the University Alumni Fellowship. She is an associate professor in the Early Childhood Education program and currently serves as a co-coordinator for the undergraduate program.
Dr. Han's research interests align with the major framework of 'sociocultural influence on teaching and learning', with a specific focus on early childhood teacher education, young children's language and social development, and multicultural education.
She is currently involved in projects including developing effective professional development experiences for preschool teachers, enhancing pre-service teachers' critical thinking abilities, and supporting young children's social competence as a foundation for academic readiness. Her scholarly works are published in Journal of Research in Childhood Education, Early Childhood Research and Practice, and Early Childhood Education Journal.
