Early Childhood

The faculty in the Early Childhood Program and faculty at University of Cape Coast in Ghana will be establishing a Community of Practice and having regular conferences using technological collaboration tools to communicate between the ECE faculty at USF and UCC. Their ongoing collaboration will focus on capacity building as well as curriculum and policy work as a springboard into additional teacher education training opportunities and common projects and research to help inform the field.

Literacy Studies

The faculty in Literacy Studies have developed the first Online Reading Masters Program offered by a Research university in the State of Florida University System. Opportunities for Giving

Giving opportunities are available within the department. The Childhood Education & Literacy Studies Foundation Fund supports internships and research assistantships for students, travel for doctoral students to present research, and opportunities for faculty and students to work in partnership with schools. Friends of the department may contribute to the general development fund or specifically direct their gifts towards particular interests.
