Department
of Adult, Career and Higher Education
The
University of South Florida offers a Masters of Arts Degree
in Career and Technical Education (CTE).
The
MA in Career and Technical Education is designed primarily for
career and technical educators and related professionals such
as career specialists who work directly with students
in career related programs in middle school, high school, technical
center and community college settings. The focus is on improving
instructional, curricular and related competencies
and the development of leadership skills.
The
36-semester hour program is delivered via the Internet and consists
of 12 courses taught over a two-year period. There are three
Saturday sessions in Tampa. A new cohort is admitted every fall
semester. Click the icon below for more information about the
program, costs, courses involved, a link to apply and related information.
Our
faculty all have teaching experience in career and technical
education programs at the local level and they have many years'
experience offering graduate programs at the university level.
Each is considered an expert in his or her respective areas
of interest within CTE and all have published, presented and
consulted widely. Our CTE faculty pride themselves in having
a very student-friendly approach and feel very strongly that
"we
are here to serve students".
