Special Events at the Charter School

PASS Celebration

On August 16, 2007 the School hosted an Open House Celebration for parents, students, and many other guests.  The event recognized the support that Drs. Kiran and Pallavi Patel and the Council for Education Change (CEC) have given the school -- in particular, making it possible to participate in the PASS (Partnership to Advance School Success) program this past year.  The School has benefited in many ways since the PASS program was implemented -- among them a considerable improvement in student achievement.

Literacy Night

Every year parents and their children who are enrolled in the School are invited for an evening to participate in a variety of fun-filled literacy activities at the school.  The turnout is usually excellent, and everyone has a good time.  Below are some photos from one of these evenings.

Kids Voting

"Kids Voting Tampa Bay" is an organization that prepares young people to be educated, engaged voters.  In November 2006 all Charter School children had an authentic voting experience that reflects the adult process.  Watch the "Kids Voting" movie below by clicking on the image!
