Welcome to the Center for Research on Children’s Development & Learning (CRCDL) at the University of South Florida. We are a unit of the College of Education dedicated to advancing key elements of our university’s mission and strategic goals, particularly those pertaining to excellence in research, graduate research education, and community engagement.
We strive to become a catalyst in the College of Education’s efforts to attain national and international visibility as a professional school at the cutting edge of research with practical relevance for developmental and educational practice. Equally important is our desire to become a catalyst for cultivating synergy, university-wide, for cross-disciplinary collaborative research aimed at increasing the relevance of the developmental and learning sciences for educational practice, policy, and community-level interventions.
CRCDL is more than a location; it is a community of scholars from multiple disciplines and academic units across the College and the University who share the common vision of applying their research and scholarship to the solution of real-world problems in the variety of settings in which children develop and learn. Our steadily growing family of affiliated faculty comes from a variety of fields and disciplines in several Colleges: Education, Arts and Sciences, and Public Health.
