ESOL Folder Instructions

Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education


Step 1



Step 1
: Prepare a 2” binder, properly identified with your name and course program information.


Step 2



Step 2: Prepare 4 dividers: Label these dividers:

    • (1) ESOL 1
    • (2) ESOL 2
    • (3) ESOL 3
    • (4) ESOL Infused courses


Step 3



Step 3: Place the graded products from your three ESOL specific courses in this binder under the proper divider heading, along with the ESOL Performance Standards signoff sheet from your ESOL instructor (DO NOT use sheet protectors.)

Step 4

 

Step 4:Content for the 4th divider in your binder should consist of ESOL Performance Standards Course completion sheets for each course in your program that infuses ESOL Performance Standards. Your instructors will inform you if you will be receiving a form from their course or not (you do NOT need to include the work from those courses, only the sign-off sheet).

Step 5

 

Step 5: Place ESOL Late Field Experience sign-off form in you binder to document that you have spent at least 10 days successfully teaching an ESOL student in one of your internships.

Step 6

 

Step 6: Take your completed ESOL binder to the ESOL office (EDU 266) for a final check-off for graduation.
