ESOL Portfolio (ESOL Binder):
- for Early Childhood students
- for English Language Education students
- for Foreign Language Education students
- for Special Education students
If you fit into one of the categories above, you will need to create an ESOL Portfolio (ESOL Binder). The initial set-up instructions for the Binder will be given to you in your first ESOL course and you will have a preliminary check of your ESOL Binder during your second ESOL course. However, you need to add all your work related to ESOL from your ESOL-infused courses. Click on the link for set-up instructions (ESOL binder set-up).
The ESOL Portfolio is a collection of the ESOL-related assignments completed by the students in the ESOL-infused classes during the course of their study. This collection proves that the student have met the ESOL Performance Standards. In addition to the graded ESOL related assignments, the students are required to include a one-page reflection summary for each course.
ESOL Binder Checklist: The ESOL checklist is provided to show the student what standards have been met by the two ESOL courses, and what standards need to be met in the ESOL-infused courses in their program:
