ESOL Comprehensive Exam

Students must pass a comprehensive ESOL Education examination in order to receive the ESOL endorsement. This exam covers the content of the two ESOL Education courses as well as the ESOL information that was 'infused' into the program courses. The exam is given in two stages:

Stage 1: Final Examination - FLE 4317

Stage 2: Midterm Examination - FLE 4316

To fulfill the ESOL endorsement requirements, the students need to pass each stage of the comprehensive examination with 70% or better. If a lower grade is received on any of the stages, students may retake the exam during the same semester, or they may schedule the retake for the following semester contacting the ESOL office (EDU 266).
