![]() TuitionFor information about the tuition and fees for USF courses, please see Purchasing and Financial Services Tuition waivers are available those who secure a position as a Graduate Assistant.GrantsBeginning Fall 2003, graduate students are eligible for USF Grants (direct financial aid, not loans) that, until now, had been reserved for undergraduates. In order to qualify, you must complete a FASFA form by MARCH 1, 2003. You can obtain the form at FAFSA.This award may total up to $2000 per year for full time study. Pro-rated amounts are also available for part time students. Full time enrollment is 9 or more hours per semester; part time is 5-8 credits. Scholarships and FellowshipsThere are a number of scholarships and fellowships available for graduate study through the central Financial Aid Office. Scholarships and fellowships are awards made based on outstanding credentials and are not loans and do not require a work assignment. AssistantshipsApplicants and currently enrolled graduate students can be considered for research, administrative, and teaching assistantships. Assistantships, unlike scholarships and fellowships, require a teaching, research or administrative assignment and therefore the student must have the credentials and prior experiences to perform the tasks. The compensation is typically around $10/hour for Masters level and $12/hour for doctoral level assistantships. In addition, the student is provided a tuition waiver.LoansThere are federal loans for graduate study. |
