Instructional
Technology Program
The Instructional Technology (IT) Program
at the University of South Florida offers Master's, Ed.S., and Ph.D. degrees, as well as Graduate Certificates, related to the
design and
delivery of instruction. In addition, there are several courses that are
relevant for non-degree seeking
students.
Graduates have many career options
in fields related to e-Learning and multimedia instruction in commercial, medical, government, and educational settings. The curriculum includes a wide array of
courses, including instructional design, web programming, web
design, interactive media, distance learning, digital video, animation (Flash), graphics, and educational research.
The USF IT Program is home to the Florida Center for
Instructional
Technology (FCIT), a leader in the integration of technology. Students and faculty members work with FCIT to produce world
renown programs such as the Teacher's Guide to the
Holocaust. Many students participate in scholarly
publications and
presentations.
USF is ranked at the highest level of Carnegie classification for research universities (Very High Research Activity).
Located in the beautiful Tampa Bay
area, USF serves more than 44,000 students. The Tampa area offers
numerous technology-related jobs and ample employment opportunities for
graduates.

Member of an IT degree program (M.Ed., ED.S., Ph.D.) ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND.
Students living beyond driving distance may contact their program coordinator for exceptions, all other students are expected to attend this once-a-year event.
