Masters of Education

Conducting research on laptops

The Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Instructional Technology consists of a minimum of 11 courses (8 courses in the major area of Instructional Technology and 3-4 courses in Educational Foundations). Courses may be taken on campus or via the web.

The program is intended for students interested in working as instructional designers/developers. For example, graduates may be employed in industry (such as a bank or e-learning company) to design online courses. Or, graduates may work as technology specialists, assisting with the integration of technology within schools or school districts.

Effective Fall 2008: students entering the M.Ed. in Instructional Technology program will enter until the program's new requirement structure. Students enrolled in the M.Ed. in Instructional Technology program prior to Fall 2008 may elect to change to the new program structure or may complete their program under the requirements in place when they began their program.
