GIS a great tool for creating maps & visualizations for K12 or higher education natural & environmental sciences, social studies and history . GIS is great for Marine Science, Earth Space Science, AP (Advance Placement) Environmental Science, Ecology and certain environmental units (chapters) of all Biology courses (Regular, Honors and AP) & other courses. With short research projects, your students download scientific, environmental, social, historical or socio-economic data from the Web and visualize it in digital maps to make powerful visual connections. In community projects, K12 teachers and their students work with other stakeholders in the community to create maps and visualizations that bring publicity to and take meaningful action on real community issues. This definitely brings social studies to the real world at local & global levels, making it personally meaningful for your students. EME 6936 Course Outline: You will first learn GIS digital mapping skills and then create materials for your science, social studies and history courses. Take advantage of this exciting new tool! |
