                           Liller Appointed Dean of Grad

                          School and AVP of Research and

                          Innovation

                           TAMPA, Fla. (July 24, 2009) – The University of

                                  South Florida announced the appointment of Dr.

                                  Karen DeSafey Liller as Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice President for Research and Innovation. Liller served in an interim capacity since August 2008. Her appointment will become permanent on August 1. Reporting jointly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Liller will be responsible for leading and managing the Graduate School and building stronger collaborations with the Division of Research and Innovation. Dr. Karen Liller received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with Emphasis in Vocational Education and cognate in Public Health in 1988.


                           Bill Blank Receives Epsilon Pi Tau

                          Award

                                  Bradenton, FL. (April 18, 2009). The Eta Field

                                  Chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau—a national honors

                                  group for technology programs in higher

                                  education, workforce development, and

                                  professionals in practice, honored Dr. Bill Blank with a Gold Key Award at its annual luncheon held in Bradenton, FL., at the River Club. The Gold Key Award is given to honor individuals who support Technology Education in the State of Florida. Dr. Bill Blank. Career and Workforce professor at USF, was honored for his continued support of Technology Education, and for assisting in the transition of the baccalaureate degree in Technology Education from USF to St. Petersburg College in 2004.

The CWE@USF Network is an online community of MA in CTE and Ph.D. in CWE alumni. The network features professional and personal milestones upon graduation.
