Faculty and Staff

 

The Center is fortunate to have personnel working with a vast array of skills and interests. Although primarily staffed with a full-time director and graduate assistants, all faculty members of the Measurement and Research Department are involved with various projects undertaken by the Center. Two members of the faculty are intricately involved with Center’s activities and are included in the list below. If you would like more information on a specific project, please contact either the Director or one of the team members listed on the projects page.

 

Director

 
 

Dr. Rodríguez is nationally and internationally recognized for her collaborative approach to evaluation. She has been awarded with several honors and educational scholarships at the national and international levels, including, the American Evaluation Association’s Marcia Guttentag Award; a Faculty Fellowship from the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE); and the University of South Florida’s Hispanic Heritage Faculty Award. She currently serves as the board of directors’ chair at the Evaluation Capacity Development Group and as the program chair of the Collaboration, Participatory, and Empowerment Evaluation Topical Interest Group at the American Evaluation Association. Dr. Rodriguez’s interests include collaborative evaluation, multi-cultural and international evaluation capacity building, metaevaluation, and project management. Among her several publications, she is the author of the book entitled Collaborative Evaluations: A Step-by-Step.

Faculty Advisors

 
 

Dr. Ferron specializes in the application of statistical methods to educational data. Particular interests include the analysis of single-case data, growth curve modeling, and structural equation modeling.

 
 

Dr. Kromrey specializes in applied statistics and data analysis. He has a general interest in the behavior of numbers and summaries of numbers in the context or research.

Dr. Chen's primary research interests are in the theories and applications of new cognitive-psychometric models that combine cognitive psychology with modern psychometrics.

Dr. Dedrick's research interests include the use of structural equation modeling to examine measurement quality of psychological instruments, the analysis of change using hierarchical linear modeling, and mentoring in doctoral education.

Research interests include measurement invariance and likelihood ratio tests under structural equation modeling. She has conducted simulation studies and large-scale data analyses. She teaches statistics, measurement, and research design.

 
 

 

Research interests include quantitative and qualitative research design, methods of interviewing in qualitative research, and the theoretical foundations of educational research.

Stephanie’s interests include metaevaluation, collaborative evaluation, and educational policy analysis.
