Location: Cambridge England

Cambridge is located one hour from London by train, and it is internationally famous for its university. The University of Cambridge dominates the city with its 600-year-old architecture. The city of Cambridge is a storybook setting of picturesque buildings, winding streets, and manicured lawns sweeping down to the River Cam. Cambridge offers a wealth of bookstores and a phenomenal range of world-class cultural events including museums, traditional and contemporary theatre, and renowned musical productions.

Accommodations: Warkworth House

Warkworth House is a large Victorian guesthouse. Students and faculty tutors live in this centrally located, family-owned Bed & Breakfast hotel. All rooms include en suite facilities, color televisions, and coffee makers. Internet access is available in the lounge. A full English breakfast is provided daily. Accommodations are on a share-basis.

Warkworth House is blocks away from restaurants, pubs, and shopping. There is even a Starbucks around the corner.  But, be prepared, Cambridge shops close at 5:00 p.m., so shopping time is limited.

Opportunities for Travel

Although accommodations are reserved in Cambridge, students may travel on the weekends. Students may travel after the end of the workday each Friday. Students must be rested and ready for the internship every Monday.

Cambridge offers regular train or bus service to London. Other historical cities, such as Bath, York, and Liverpool, are within reach by bus or train as well. At the end of the BSE, many students return to the USA, but others extend their time to travel through Europe. Many airlines offer inexpensive flights throughout Europe.
