Description

The MEME Collaborative is a partnership among mathematics education, mathematics, and engineering faculty to address issues related to mathematics and mathematics education. 

 

Goal

 

The goal of the MEME collaborative is to develop partnership-driven projects with school districts to:

  • improve the learning and teaching of mathematics,

  • improve K-12 students' mathematics achievement, 

  • improve undergraduate students' mathematics achievement,

  • improve the content-background of teachers of mathematics,

  • embed innovative curricula materials in school and undergraduate mathematics programs

  • reduce the mathematics achievement gap that that exist between minority and non-minority students, as well as, between economically disadvantaged and thier more advantaged peers, and

  • increase interest and participation (including minority participation) in mathematics and mathematics related fields.
